Bronze Medallion

The aim of this award is to demonstrate competency in a variety of situations.

Prerequisites: at least 13 years old at time of assessment (can train from 12 years old if you hold), or at least 12 years old at time of assessment if holding Lifesaving 3, ROOKIE, or Assistant Beach Lifesaver Award.

This award includes the following skills: Water safety, accident prevention, aquatic rescue skills, survival and self rescue, awareness of own safety, checking responsiveness, sequence of Life Support, action for vomit, recovery position, combining chest cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), diagnosis and treatment of bleeding, choking and shock.
